I offer a free 20 minute initial consultation to help determine whether I would be a suitable therapist for your needs.As an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist, I create a safe, helping space in which we can explore the issues that have led you to seek support through therapy.I will focus on helping you understand and address any difficulties that you are experiencing in the present in your life, emotions, and relationships.I will use and adapt a range of approaches such as humanistic and psychodynamic therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), inner child work, cognitive and dialectical behavioural therapy (CBT/DBT), and trauma-informed therapy to find what works best for you. In addition, I use somatic approaches to work with creating a sense of bodily safety in the nervous system, which is particularly important in clients with anxiety or who have suffered trauma. I aim to leave you with a tool-kit of knowledge and techniques to take away to help you continue feeling well after the therapy has finished.I am an LGBTQIA+ friendly therapist.
