Mr Sanjiv Manjure is a consultant orthopedic surgeon specialising in hip and knee conditions. He has a particular interest in sports injuries of the knee, including arthroscopic ACL reconstruction, cartilage transplantation, primary and revision knee and hip replacements and unicompartmental knee replacements.Performing over 500 surgical procedures per year, he also has a wealth of experience seeing patients for procedures involving arthritis of the knee, hip conditions as well as complex knee and hip fractures.In 1990, Mr Manjure graduated from Indias internationally renowned The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. Following on from this, he carried out a four-year postgraduate residency in Orthopaedics.He then enrolled in Higher Surgical Training in the South East Thames Region (Guys and St. Thomass rotation). He went on to complete a Masters in Surgery (MCh), a Fellowship of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons (FRCS) and a Fellowship of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons in Trauma and Orthopaedics (FRCS Tr and Orth). Mr Manjure has worked within the Knee Unit in Guys Hospital London, gaining extensive experience in surgical procedures for knee sports injuries, revision arthroplasty and complex knee surgery.After spending time at Medway Hospitals NHS Trust and Kings College Hospital, London, Mr Manjure then went on to work as a consultant orthopedic surgeon at Luton and Dunstable University Hospital. While here, he built up the hip and knee unit within the hospital and introduced the use of computer navigation techniques for knee replacement. Mr Manjure strongly believes in the importance of research, training and development for the delivery of high quality care. He lectures at knee and hip orthopaedics and the management of complex trauma.
