I work as a Gestalt counselling therapist, and my specialisms are working with bereavement and loss, trauma, anxiety and depression as well as working with relationship issues. I work from dedicated counselling rooms in the centre of Brighton, near the Brighton Pavilion. My rooms are easily accessible by public transport and parking is available nearby. As a Gestalt counsellor, I believe that we have within us the abilities to live our lives well. I believe that when we can learn to trust our own inner-experience as a guide, we can begin to make choices around what is right for us and follow a more fulfilling path.Within the context of a safe and therapeutic environment, I will encourage you to become curious about what is happening for you in the present moment, bringing together how you are in your body, your feelings and your thoughts, and guiding you to explore and express these. Although my work is primarily rooted in talking therapies, we may also be creative, including therapeutic exercises and mindfulness to facilitate experience and exploration. I see my role as supporting you to reconnect with your inner-resources so you can live your life more fully and according to your own values and expectations.I am experienced working both long and short term with clients.I offer an initial 50 minute assessment session at £20 as an opportunity for you to explore what you wish to gain from counselling and so that you can get an experience of me and how we might work together.
