After fifteen years in the sharp end working in London as a lawyer, I retrained as a psychotherapist. My aim is for you to be as mentally healthy as you can be.How I WorkI use evidence based therapies like humanistic person-centred therapy attachment theory, neuroscience, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing and Mindfulness to formulate a therapy that's most beneficial to you.I also offer outdoor therapy (subject to assessment) or walk and talk therapy.I have a special interest in working with clients who are exploring their neurodivergency or already diagnosed and seeking support.I am affirming of, and have lived experience of the LGBTQ+ community, queer and same sex relationships. If you are unable to attend your face to face session for any reason, I can also offer an online service, or a blend of both if this suits you better.I work with a range of issues including (not an exclusive list):Other Relevant ExperienceI am a retired solicitor with a Master’s degree in mental health law and specialisms in family law and child protection. I advocated for clients in the High Court, secure mental health settings and prisons, and have expertise and knowledge of complex situations beyond that of many counsellors. Nothing about the human condition surprises me and I am warm-hearted, exceptionally non-judgmental and validating.
