A change in circumstances and status can put a strain in our relationships and sometimes lead to depression and anxiety. If you are having a challenging time adjusting to a new, social environment or situation, I can support you to recognise your potential, grow in confidence and navigate into the new life you wish for yourself.I offer a non-judgmental Counselling service that provides you with the space to connect and create new comfortable ways of 'be-ing' and 'do-ing'; a relaxed space to gently explore your options and mindfully think of essential ways to cope with the changes in and around you. Although I emphasise the importance of a holistic approach to Counselling I use Transactional Analysis (TA) as my main modality to understand and facilitate your navigation through life changes.I am a qualified TA Counsellor. I work and abide by the BACP ethical principles. I also abide by TA’s main concepts and principles that emphasises the worthiness and value of each individual. We all have the capacity to think and decide what we want from life and that such decisions, made consciously or unconsciously can change when we know better. My conversational, non-directive style of counselling permits the client to recognise and act on their own abilities and skills. My approach to Couples Counselling is based on the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy that focuses on identifying the factors that contribute to successful or unsuccessful relationships. This method emphasizes enhancing clients' relationships by teaching specific tools to deepen friendship and intimacy. It also aims to equip couples with effective tools for managing conflicts, both resolvable problems and perpetual issues.
