Through my work as a General Practitioner with a list of patients I know very well I strive to improve the care of all residents in Herefordshire and Worcestershire through my role on the HWCCG Governing Body. As a front line clinician I feel immersed in the services we commission and work hard to innovate, personalise and improve care for people. My initial hospital training covered a lot of medicine, I passed the MRCGP exam in 1999, DRCOG in 2001 and MRCGP in 2004. My GP training was in Bridlington and Huddersfield. After staring out in a large Leeds GP practice I moved to Worcestershire in 2007. The Ridgeway Surgery is a small dispensing semi rural GP practice in the town of Redditch. We are small enough to be flexible and agile in how we serve our patients while being part of the Nightingales Primary Care Network helps give us the resilience of a larger practice. I am a keen student of mnemonics and memory theory, how we can learn and remember better. As part of this I am learning and recite digits of Pi.
