Hello, my name’s Rebecca Corlett. I am a qualified person-centred counsellor and I work with individual adult clients age 18+. I aim to offer you a non-judgemental, safe and supportive environment where you can be heard and accepted and where you can explore and process your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. I am not here to advise you, or tell you what to do - I do not live your life and so that's not my place - but we can work together and I can support you to explore and discover your own answers. As a neurodivergent therapist I have a special interest in neurodiversity. I have experience in working with both neurotypical, and neurodivergent clients, as well as those with other challenges and disabilities. Neurodivergent clients often need to move around, stim, fiddle, doodle – all of this is fine, and I invite you to discuss with me anything you might need to make therapy more accessible to you.I have experience working with several counselling agencies including domestic abuse support agencies, and I continue to volunteer with the Road Victims Trust working with clients affected by road collisions. I have experience working with a variety of presenting issues. These include but are not limited to: Bereavement and griefDiscriminationDomestic abuseFamily and relationships issuesIdentityLife transitionsNeurodivergence - with or without a diagnosis. Including, but not limited to: Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia Dyspraxia, Social Communication Disorder. I also work with people supporting neurodivergence (family, friends, carers)Serious injurySudden lossWitnesses of road death and serious injuryThis list is not exhaustive and I am happy to work with you if you are experiencing common mental health problems, personal challenges, or wanting to explore and further your understanding of yourself in a safe space.
