At times you may feel overwhelmed by events in your life and feel isolated and vulnerable. It can be hard then to make sense of your emotions and you may lose sight of the person you were or want to be. I know how frightening it can be when you feel this way and life feels too hard. This is when counselling may help you find a way forward. By talking over what your experiencing in a non judgemental space, you are more able to gain understanding over your thoughts, feelings, behaviours and what it is you want or need from life. Being in a therapeutic relationship will allow you to notice patterns of behaviour that you may not have been aware of and all of those automatic responses and unhelpful coping strategies that you have adopted throughout your life. Within therapy you are able to reflect and process what is going on for you in your own time and at your own pace.
