I am consultant surgeon at Hull and East Yorkshire NHS Trust Hospitals since 2006. My initial surgical training was at University Teaching Hospital in North India and subsequently in UK specialist surgical training programme in Yorkshire region. I am Honorary Clinical Tutor for Hull and York Medical School and University of Edinburgh[ 2014 to 2016]. I am Laparoscopic trainer for Royal college of surgeons. I am examiner for MRCS exams. I provide a comprehensive service in the area of general surgery with specialist interest in upper gastrointestinal disease . I have experience in management of particularly challenging and complex problems. I perform a wide variety of laparoscopic surgery including cholecystectomy, abdominal and groin hernia repair, anti-reflux surgery, splenectomy, appendicectomy. I also perform laparoscopic gastric banding, sleeve gastrectomy, laparoscopic roux Y gastric bypass. I have specialised in managing oesophageal and gastric cancers, peptic ulcer disease.
