Paresh Sonsale graduated in Medicine from Mumbai University in 1986. He completed his Orthopaedic training in 1991. He worked as a Senior Lecturer before he moved to the UK in 1995. He joined Nottingham Higher Surgical Training Programme and later went to Cambridge/East Anglia Orthopaedic training programme to complete his training. During his training he was awarded the following fellowships: Knee Fellowship at Nottingham and Derby, Shoulder Fellowship - Derby, Pulvertaft Hand Fellowship. During his knee fellowship, he was trained for primary and revision knee replacement, ACL/PCL ligament reconstruction, meniscus repair and knee arthroscopies. Mr Sonsale was also trained at Nottingham shoulder and elbow unit and in the last year worked at Norwich upper limb and trauma unit. During his Shoulder fellowship, he gained valuable experience in arthroscopic and open shoulder surgery. In his NHS practice he provides clinics for shoulder, knee problems. He runs trauma service for fractures of clavicle, AC joint injuries, Biceps tendon ruptures, cuff tears, shoulder dislocation, knee tendon and ligament injuries. He works for The Royal College of Surgeons, England and University of Birmingham.
