Affectionately called "a mender of people," Mendy Landreth uses her compassion and empathy to bring healing to individuals and families with various needs. Her extensive training as a Registered Play Therapist has been the backbone of her powerful work with children and has made her more attuned to adolescent and adult clients as well. Mendy utilizes sandtray therapy and other expressive art activities with interested clients of all ages. As a Certified Child-Parent Relationship Therapist, Mendy has successfully trained parents, grandparents, and other counselors with practical tools that reduce conflict and increase family unity. In 2002, she earned her master's degree from the University of North Texas, which has been ranked the #1 counseling program in Texas. Mendy is grateful for the privilege of studying under her father-in-law, Dr. Garry Landreth, world-renowned authority in the field of play therapy.Having been married over 24 years and now being a mom of a teen and preteen, Mendy has gained insight that allows her to offer hope to others. She especially enjoys promoting prevention through premarital counseling, parent education, and public speaking engagements.
