My name is Maree, after many years experience as a teacher, I trained and qualified as an Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor specialising in working with children and young people. I believe it is important to develop a trusting relationship and provide an environment where the client feels comfortable. The client and I are participants in the relationship, and creating a connection and alliance are very important to my work.I work creatively with children and young people, exploring feelings and emotions using a variety of methods, such as sand tray, art and stories.In the time spent together we will work to make sense of, and explore, feelings. I support young people to be able to tell their story, to increase self - awareness and understanding, and help to feel more able to manage their feelings.
