My focus in counselling is to build a relationship which enables you to feel comfortable talking about your life and the difficulties you may be facing.I am an Integrative Counsellor, which means I adapt my way of working to suit you. I aim to help you get to know yourself better, so that you can learn to cope with issues you face. Often recognising automatic habits we have enables change to be made if that is what you choose. While I am there to guide you I will never ask you to do anything you feel uncomfortable with. Listening is often key to building a trusting relationship, but it is also a safe space where you can talk openly.I enjoy working creatively as it often opens up new avenues for exploration and can be a gentle way in if you find it difficult to talk. I have previously worked within the NHS for a GP surgery and as a result have worked with a wide range of issues, including eating disorders, anxiety, depression, bereavement, anger management, identity issues and loss due to ill health or the ageing process.
