Hello and a warm welcome to Counselling with Mallory. I am Mallory. I am a qualified integrative counsellor, specializing in working with young people aged 11-25. I am registered with the BACP, fully insured and DBS checked. I attend monthly supervision with a BACP Accredited Supervisor, and quarterly supervision with Trauma Informed Schools (TIS) supervisor to review and support my work. After studying Psychology at University, I fell in love with psychology, the mind, and link between our thoughts, emotions and behaviour. I became interested in learning about how a persons experiences, particularly during childhood and adolescence, go on to impact and shape them later in to adulthood. Today, adverse child experiences (ACEs) & trauma during childhood (& adolescence) and mental health difficulties in adulthood is well documented and one of reasons I am so passionate about working with young people and supporting to both manage and improve their emotional wellbeing and mental health. I have over 12 years experience working therapeutically with young people. I have worked supporting young people across primary, secondary and post 16 education, as well as, working with clients in alternative and specialist provisions. I completed my training at the London Institute of Arts in Psychotherapy and Education (IATE). In addition to being a counsellor, I am also a qualified Trauma Informed & Mental Health Practitioner with Trauma Informed Schools (TISUK) & Mental Health First Aider. I have also recently become a qualified freelance trainer for Trauma Informed Schools (TISUK) and I am very much looking forward to sharing my passion and knowledge with future delegates.
