I offer a warm and compassionate space for you to talk about whatever it is that may be troubling you. People often assume that counselling only focuses on the negative but it's much more than that, it's also an opportunity to explore what really matters to you and what inspires you. I am trained to help you to take a step back and to explore what it's really like to be you, guiding you to find new perspective and direction. As you gain a deeper understanding of yourself, what you want and how you relate to others, your emotional wounds transform into wisdom and your relationships deepen, the burdens of the past and worries for the future become lighter as you begin to live more freely and fully in the present. Some of the more common issues I work with are family dynamics and difficulties in relationships, life changes and transitions, bereavement, anxiety, stress and trauma as well as a wish for self development and more creative expression.I am a fully qualified Psychosynthesis counsellor and psychotherapist in training at The Institute of Psychosynthesis in London. Psychosynthesis is often described as a 'soulful psychology' because it offers a hopeful and holistic approach to human growth, blending psychotherapy and neuroscience with Western and Eastern mysticism and philosophy. It recognises that each of us is on a journey through life that is both purposeful and meaningful, even though at times it can be difficult and painful. As well as my private practice I work for the charity Trauma Breakthrough in Bath providing one to one psychotherapy and group work. I have three years experience working with people affected by cancer and I have worked as a support worker for the domestic abuse charity Fear Less where I continue to run a behavioural change support group for men.I am passionate about self discovery and I sit alongside my clients with empathy and acceptance, knowing we are both on a journey to become more of who we truly are.
