He has a special interest in the treatment of addictions and perinatal conditions. Dr van Huyssteen provides a dynamic, holistic approach to care with the main focus on establishing a strong therapeutic relationship with his patients. He is passionate about empowering his patients to take control of their lives, helping them to maximize their potential. Dr van Huyssteen treats patients with supportive counselling, medical neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) and cognitive techniques. Where necessary he prescribes medication in accordance with the latest effective treatment outcomes. Dr van Huyssteen works with an extensive network of psychotherapists, counsellors and other medical professionals. When necessary or requested, he is also able to arrange inpatient care for patients.
