My instinctively open, caring nature and my emotional awareness naturally led me to counselling. I have worked for 19 years in a wide variety of settings within the National Health Service, the charity sector and in schools. My aim is to provide professional counselling for individuals, couples and organisations. I have a wealth of clinical and therapeutic experience and I am able to work with elderly people, adults and young people. I offer supervision to new and experienced practitioners and to counsellors in training. I support clients as they work towards understanding, addressing and overcoming their issues. These issues include anxiety, depression, addictive behaviour, stress related difficulties, bereavement and unexpected life changes. I have also had success in addressing issues relating to anger management, difficulties within the work place, relationship problems, divorce, low self-esteem and childhood experiences. The type of work I engage in includes face-to-face and Skype counselling, couples counselling, mindfulness therapy, mediation, life coaching, group work and I work with employee assistance programmes (EAP) providers. My approach is integrative and humanistic. I have an abundance of experience with Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I demonstrate a tremendous enthusiasm and passion for my work.
