There is no single 'right way' to practice psychotherapy. While I have trained primarily in psychodynamic and person-centred therapies, my approach is contemporary, evidence-based and eclectic. Regardless of treatment modality, the fundamental qualities that tie my work together are compassion for my clients and the knowledge, backed by many years of psychotherapy research, that the most important factor in healing is a safe, caring and collaborative therapeutic relationship.I hold full qualification (Registered MBACP) as a counsellor and psychotherapist, with a psychodynamic foundation and elements of other proven treatment methods, including cognitive and interpersonal work.My experience includes working with survivors of trauma, neglect and abuse, as well as people troubled by loss, redundancy, relationship difficulties, depression and anxiety, including that related to Covid-19. My background includes working with suicidal people who are in treatment with the NHS.
