I am a BABCP and BACP accredited Cognitive Behaviour Therapist with over twenty years’ experience of working in the NHS and private sector, mental health services. I primarily work from a cognitive-behavioural / mindfulness / acceptance commitment therapy perspectives, however, I value and use a range of therapeutic models according to the needs of the individual. The way we think, feel and behave is often inter-related and my therapeutic approach is to offer an understanding of this. Modifying thinking and behaviour, can allow flexibility and can act to reduce distressing emotions. Through a collaborative and supportive approach I work with individuals to offer alternative coping strategies.I am based in South Gloucestershire, however, please note that all my sessions are currently being held online. I've been working online for over 10 years and research indicates that CBT delivered online is as effective as in person CBT. It is a convenient and accessible way to access CBT and I send a summary email after each session.
