By drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches, I hope to offer you an insight into how you may begin to feel more at ease with yourself and the relationships you have with those around you. With support and guidance, it may be possible to become more fully present rather than feeling stuck in the past. The simple act of exploring and sharing your personal experience with a therapist is the first step towards growth and recovery.I am able to offer open ended and brief therapy to adults from 15+, with a range of issues. These include, anxiety and depression, stress, bereavement, low self-esteem, domestic abuse, infertility and miscarriage, parenting, relationships and neurodiversity affirming counselling.I am a fully qualified counsellor with a background in Humanistic/ Gestalt Therapy, Embodied Therapy and mindfulness meditation. This means that I work in an integrative, present centred and creative way.I am fully trained to work remotely via Zoom and telephone as well as face to face.In your counselling sessions, I maintain a non-judgemental and collaborative approach in a safe, confidential and supportive space. Here you can focus on your own needs and look at the way forward. My extensive training is underpinned by working both in the charity and private sector with young people and adults from 15+ who often come to counselling to explore past and present traumas and difficulties. This can be face to face and remotely either within the comfort of my consulting rooms or via Zoom.My recent training and certification in Embodied psychotherapy and interest in Internal Family System means that, with support, you can get to know the inner parts or facets of yourself much better. This will help you have more agency over your inner critical voice and improve self-esteem.I am more than happy to discuss any of your therapeutic needs and look forward to hearing from you.The first step is always difficult, yet it may lead to positive change and worthwhile personal rewards.
