I work in an Integrative way, accessing which modality suits the client and situation. It allows me to create a bespoke individual service and relationship. The methods I use include person centred, CBT, creative therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy. What this really means is that I work differently with each person. We talk through what you are looking to gain from this sessions and how you would like to work. I tend to find that people are looking for a connection and to be heard and validated. Being able to feel listened to is an important aspect of the relationship. I tend to offer the CBT methods as strategies to encourage positive coping mechanisms and homework for you to do and feed back on how you have found it, if you would like to.I have experience of working in both primary and secondary schools. With mainstream children and children with special educational needs. I can create relationships with children and adults that can often find it difficult to engage with services or who have behaviours that may challenge others.I have a base in Nutfield in Surrey but can travel and bring my therapy space to the client or somewhere more accessible. I work in person and online, this allows me to offer more variety and flexibility.Believing that we are all equal and should have an equal opportunity to access therapy, I have created a ‘room on wheels’ with full accessibility via a lift if needed.
