During my long career I have set up counselling & supervision services in two middle schools and worked with students, staff and parents. I have taught in the field of Counselling and Psychotherapy (2008-2019) as Lecturer & Course Director of the Access to HE Diploma in Counselling at the West Suffolk College in Bury St. Edmunds and worked as the Head of Counselling & Supervision of the Women’s Aid Centre in Bury St. Edmunds (2008-2018), working with women, children, staff and trainee counsellors in placement.Today, I work solely in private practice, I offer counselling to adults and young people, (I am a qualified Trauma Informed Schools & Communities Practitioner)and counselling and clinical supervision/consultancy to both trainee and qualified counsellors, professionals & staff of organisations locally. I enjoy studying and research in my professional field and strive to keep my Continuing Professional Development record current and attend workshops regularly as well as undertaking qualifications that aid and are relevant to my work. I am a registered advanced BWRT practitioner & member of the BWRT Institute and I have been a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists since 2007, becoming Accredited in 2009 and Senior Accredited in 2015. I am also a senior accredited member of the National Counselling Society. Both membership bodies are accredited by the governments voluntary Professional Standards Authority register (PSA). This guarantees that I have met a high level of training and experience.
