Please note: Miss Samantha Tross only treats patients from the age of 13 onward.Miss Samantha Tross, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, currently works within the London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. She also sees patients privately in several clinics throughout London including the Cromwell Hospital, BMI The Clementine Churchill Hospital, and HCA Chiswick Outpatients & Diagnostic Centre. She is highly specialised in performing procedures on the hip and knee including primary/revision hip replacement surgery, primary knee replacement surgery, knee arthroscopic procedures, fracture management, keyhole hip surgery, and robotic surgery. She also is keenly interested in the treatment and management of hip pain in young adults.Miss Tross began her medical education at UCL, graduating in 1992 with her Bachelors in Medicine and Surgery. During her training, she gained invaluable experience in many prestigious London-based units including St Georges Hospital and the Royal London. Following her training, she undertook fellowship training abroad in both Toronto and Sydney, gaining invaluable experience in many crucial techniques. She was appointed to her first Consultant role in 2005 as a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon.Miss Tross is also a very active researcher, holding the positions of Associate Editor of the Journal of Medical Case Reports and Examiner for Imperial Medical School finals. Her commitment to teaching is significant, regularly lecturing on basic surgical skills on courses for the Royal Society of Medicine and Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland.

I am an Orthopaedic Consultant with general orthopaedic experience and a specialist interest in Hip and Knee Arthroplasty. I am currently the Lead Surgeon at Ealing Hospital. I trained in the UK ( Guys & St. Thomas’s rotation ) with Fellowship training in Canada and Australia. I perform Minimally Invasive Hip Surgery, Primary and Revision Hip Replacement, Knee Replacement and Knee Arthroscopy. I am trained in Robotic Surgery and was the first woman in Europe to perform Mako robotic hip surgery. I also perform carpal tunnel decompression, trigger finger releases, ganglion excision and trauma management. I treat all fractures except those of the spine and shoulder. In the private sector, I have Paediatric privileges for treating children over 13 years of age, though treat younger patients in the NHS. I am the only female at Cromwell Hospital and Clementine Churchill Hospitals specialising in Lower Limb Arthroplasty, to some a desirable option. My mission statement is ‘Individualised treatment and provision of an excellent and efficient service at all times'. Apart from my clinical work, I have a keen interest in teaching and am an Examiner for Imperial College Medical School final examinations and am an external examiner for the University of the West Indies (Trinidad) medical school. I am an Associate Professor of Orthopaedics for the American University of the Caribbean, Educational and Clinical Supervisor and Faculty Group lead for Orthopaedics training at Ealing Hospital and an Associate Editor for the Journal of Medical Case Reports. I am a Committee member of the British Hip Society and a mentor for women and those from BAME background aspiring a career in Medicine. For my community work among other things I received a Black British Business Award in 2016.
