There are reasons you feel this way, and it is not because you are defective or unworthy. We all develop coping strategies to deal with past painful events and trauma. These strategies are so ingrained that we are often not even conscious of them. And while they were appropriate to handle difficulties faced in the past, they may well be prohibiting you from living the life you want to live in the present. When you work with me, I want you to feel you are in a safe space, free of judgment, to explore the most vulnerable parts of yourself.
