Whether on the basketball court as a star athlete at Central Michigan University, or as a singer and producer with Grammy Award-winning artists, David has always been a creative at heart. And for the past near decade, as a Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor, David has used that same passion in creating harmony and balance in the lives of his clients. With a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University, David has worked in various settings from prisons and psychiatric hospitals—helping to support the severely mentally ill—to private practice and bereavement camps. His experience ranges from supporting children and adolescents to collegiate and professional athletes. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, David is committed to changing the stigma of mental health in black and brown communities through psychoeducation and community programming. David’s belief in a holistic approach to wellness is the catalyst for Oh My Therapist, his private practice located in Atlanta, Georgia
