Established in 2009, The OT Centre provides Occupational Therapy and Sensory Integration Services through a select team of highly skilled Occupational Therapists and Sensory Integration practitioners specialising in the assessment and treatment of children and adults across a wide spectrum of complex conditions and needs, including catastrophic injury, brain injury and special educational needs. Our aim is to provide friendly and approachable high quality professional services focused on client-centred care, ultimately helping adults and children with independence and quality of life. Meet The OT Centre Team - www.theotcentre.co.uk/team Helen is an experienced Occupational Therapist and clinical services lead for The OT Centre, specialising in the treatment of complex neurological conditions, including Brain Injury and Stroke. As an independent practitioner, Helen works with Case Managers (incl Bush & Company, West Country Case Management, Brain Injury Wales), Solicitors (incl JCP, Russell Jones & Walker, Quality Solicitors) and Charities (incl The Injured Jockeys Fund), providing a range of services from Assessments & Reports to goal-oriented Rehabilitation Programmes, Home Adaptations, Equipment and Training. She is an effective communicator and has an extensive working knowledge of health & social services. Helen has a broad experience in the NHS and extensive experience as a senior Occupational Therapist at specialist centres across the country, including the internationally renowned Oxford Centre for Enablement. She has practiced at the Regional Posture & Mobility Service (West Midlands Rehabilitation Centre), providing highly specialist seating and mobility assessments to clients with complex disabilities affecting mobility, posture, function and pressure relief. Helen qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2002 from the UEA with a BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy. She is registered with the Health Professions Council and is a member of the British Association of Occupational Therapists and College of Occupational Therapists Specialist Sections in Independent Practice and Neurological Practice and is an active member of Headway.
