I am qualified and accredited psychotherapist, EMDR therapist, and supervisor working in person-centred, psychodynamic, and existential analysis, and can offer an integration of all three. Further training post-qualification include Person-Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression, Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy, a number of approaches to mental illness and to safeguarding. I have worked in the NHS for over 20 years in total, but the last ten years has been as a counsellor and supervisor in the primary care sector. Working with charities has always been important to me, and I have worked with Marches Counselling Service since it began in 2011, currently as a supervisor and assessor. I am also trustee at The Family Place Foundation, based in Hay-on-Wye, that works to advance the psychological and emotional welfare and wellbeing of adopted and looked-after children and their families or carers impacted by early-years trauma.I run embodied understanding, which is my private practice where I offer therapy either in-person, or by online or telephone.
