Hana Hawthorne is a Social Worker with a private practice based in GA& CA. She welcomes adults of all ages seeking to create change in their lives. She is a dedicated, compassionate therapist promoting resilience to women experiencing life challenges. Many of Hana’s clients find themselves feeling emotional pain from past or recent life events, leaving them experiencing stress, relationship conflicts, depression, and, at times, feeling anxious. Hana works with clients to understand their physical and emotional responses to external stressors, build ways to problem solve, and realign with moments of calm. Hana co-creates strategies with clients to respond rather than react when facing new challenges. Hana is trained in mindfulness, CBT, strengths-based, client-centered, and psychodynamics, in which she promotes a safe space to use the therapeutic relationship to examine thoughts, behaviors, and beliefs and their effects on self and others to create a new road to develop healthier habits. In each session, Hana provides a warm environment for her clients to feel less guarded while building upon strengths, different avenues to manage stressors, grounding tools to use when feeling anxious, and other techniques with a trauma-informed focus. This approach supports clients in feeling more present, aligned with themselves, and able to make decisions. Her approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, empowerment, and collaboration. Hana's style is warm, humorous, and engaging. When clients first start therapy, she will establish a comfortable environment where they feel safe to build a strong relationship. Hana received their MSW from Clark Atlanta University. She has worked at non-profits serving youth and families and end-of-life care. Outside of private practice, she likes to maintain self-care by reading a good book or taking a nature walk. Hana offers teletherapy services only, making it even more convenient for you to seek help.
