Hello, I'm Grant. I have been a therapist for many years and have learned one thing: life can be difficult but with the right perspectives and skills and a willingness to try them things are very likely to get better. There are no magic paths, but I believe there is always a path toward less suffering and greater well-being. My approach Changing the way you see things and what you are doing will almost always lead to greater happiness and meaning. Helping people to change perspectives and behavior patterns is the fastest way to bring about real and helpful change. My focus I work with people who struggle with depression, anxiety, emotional intensity and instability, OCD, and high stress. The people I enjoy the most are those who are willing to receive support and start making changes. My communication style I take a soft, respectful approach to people, knowing that we are always doing the best we can in the moment and that it will be helpful to learn how to do better. My journey to mental healthcare I've been a therapist for many years. I chose this profession because of a clear understanding of just how difficult and disappointing life can be and because of real excitement and hope about helping people get better. My goals for you I always tell people that the only thing I am interested in is for them to get more of the life they want. Your goals are primary. I trust the part of people who want something better for themselves. My first session with you My goal for the first session is to get an understanding of what has been happening for you and to give you an idea of what I think will be helpful. I so often find that people who come in for therapy have been stuck for so long that they are ready to understand what is happening and what they can do.show more
