Hello, I’m Grainne (‘Gronya’). We can all struggle at times and seeking help for whatever is troubling you is a big step forwards. I see the difficulties we experience as understandable, normal human responses to distressing experiences, rather than personal deficiencies. I also believe we are all capable of growth, given the right conditions, and that supportive relationships help us to heal and flourish. My approach is based on responding to a person’s needs. I will not judge you but will accept and respect you. I aim to build an honest and trusting relationship, where you will feel comfortable to discuss and explore what is happening in your life. Together we'll consider the impact of your past experiences, your present issues, and your hopes for the future, to help you find clarity and make changes that feel right for you. I often work with women who are struggling with trauma and anxiety related to their past or current relationships and experiences. We will focus on you feeling emotionally safe in sessions and working at your pace. Experiencing trust and compassion in therapy can help you to develop self-compassion, a deeper understanding and acceptance of yourself and increased self-worth.Prior to training as a therapist, my career was in publishing and marketing, I have a lived experience of navigating professional relationships and challenges and understanding of how these can impact wellbeing. If you'd like to find out more about how I might help you, don't hesitate to get in touch.Relevant QualificationsMA Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy (Distinction) – University of RoehamptonBA (Hons) English Literature – Swansea University
