IT consultant with over 30 year's experience leading IT functions in the public and private sector, with recent in-depth experience of UK Higher Education. A professional leader capable of creating, communicating and delivering strategy, able to deal with operational challenges and resolve complex problems. I have developed and managed a transformation of corporate IT services as part of a major modernisation and investment programme, and led the introduction of project management frameworks within a large and complex organisation, to manage increased levels of risk. As a University IT Director, I have implemented successful re-organisation and merger of IT teams, introduced account management, attracted significant levels of new investment in technology and delivered innovative and successful student, academic and administrative services. I am passionate about continually improving customer experience and I am very proud to have been part of the team which significantly increased student satisfaction as measured by the annual National Student Survey (NSS) from national average (84%) to upper quartile (90%) and to have consistently measured monthly customer satisfaction at 99% (satisfied or very satisfied). I am effective at networking and engaged in a number of external initiatives at national level, for example with the professional body for IT professionals in education (UCISA).
