In addition to credentials listed, I am also a certified EMDR therapist and approved consultant through the EMDR International Association. I work with trauma of all kinds. Trauma can occur when something very disturbing occurs in a single incident, or can be complex, in that multiple incidents occur over time. Trauma can also be relationship based and cause attachment disruptions, and disruptions in the development of a health identity. Trauma can be a physical or sexual assault on the body. Iit can be blatant or subtle verbal and/or emotional assaults on the development of the self. Trauma can also involve racial or cultural assaults and contribute to feeling unsafe in the world. Utilizing this model of therapy can have a profound and lasting positive impact, and promote healing and well being for the future.
