I am a Child, Adolescent and Young Adult Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, and studied at The Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust, successfully obtaining an MA there. I am registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). I am also a member of the Tavistock Society of Psychotherapists (TSP). I have extensive experience of working with children and young adults - from various ethnic, religious and class backgrounds, also neurodiverse children and adolescents, particularly those with a diagnosis of ADHD and ASD - overwhelmed by their emotions and anxieties and struggling to cope. Therapy gives an opportunity to express and to explore these feelings, and to gain a better understanding of them. I offer psychodynamic psychotherapy to children and young adults, from ages 4 to 25 years old, drawing on different techniques depending on the age and issues of the client, using play and sand trays with children, and talking therapy with teenagers and young adults. I also provide reflective parenting sessions for those soon to be parents, who have recently become parents and for parents trying to be supportive to children and teenagers who are expressing their own difficulties through challenging and destructive behaviours.
