I specialize in working with children and families. I work with individual adults, with particular experience and interest in working with men. I also do couple therapy.
I received a Bachelors Degree from Duke University.
With a Masters Degree in Special Education from the University of Connecticut, I have had a background in working with children with emotional, behavioral and learning problems in residential treatment and in specialized public school settings.
I have a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and I worked in clinic and residential treatment settings prior to opening my private psychology practice in 1999.
My special interest is in working with children, adolescents and families. I first started working with adults through my work with children, but over the years my work with individual adult clients has expanded to about half of my clinical case load. I enjoy working with couples and I have a particular interest in serving adult male clients.
