My name is Feroza and I am a registered counsellor with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and as such abide by their Ethical Framework. I am also a lecturer on the Counselling and Psychotherapy MSc programme at Keele University.I completed my MSc in Counselling Psychology (BACP Accredited Course) at Keele University in 2018. I have been working in a Mental Health and Learning Disability setting since 2014.I have been trained in a therapeutic approach called the person-centred approach. This method of therapy was founded by Carl Rogers. Implicit in this approach of therapy is the understanding that we are all autonomous beings, with the potential to grow if appreciated, accepted, trusted and valued as a unique being, capable of self-direction.Being non-diagnostic and person-centred means that there is not set number of session that a person may have to undertake to facilitate healing. Person-centred therapy is about not setting an agenda for my clients but being prepared to go where you wish to do so.Our working together may be online (and you will be sent an email link for this).I also offer Walk and Talk Therapy at the Arboretum in Walsall. The Walsall Arboretum has free parking and is a public space with benches and walking paths. It is located in the Walsall Town Centre. Working outside can be especially helpful for people who don't have the opportunity to get out into nature very often, and for those who feel as if they thrive better when they do. The client is responsible for attire or incidents/ accidents that may arise out of walk and Talk Therapy.
