I provide a general laparoscopic surgical service at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital and in my private practice, undertaking laparoscopic cholecystectomies ('keyhole' removal of gallbladder & gallstones) and staging laparoscopies. I am the principle provider of the ERCP service for the Luton & Dunstable Hospital, a workload of approximately 260 therapeutic ERCPs per annum. We also occasionally receive tertiary referrals for ERCP from our four neighbouring hospitals. I regularly train a Gastroenterology SpR trainees in ERCP. I provide the specialist pancreato-biliary surgical service to Hertfordshire and South Bedfordshire. I chair the Luton side of the weekly video-linked supra-network multi-disciplinary meeting with the Royal Free and University College Hospitals. In summary General Upper GI Surgeon, with a specialist interest in all upper GI laparoscopic surgery including gallbladder, gallstones, ERCP, bile duct exploration, hernia and weight loss procedures.
