My approach places you at the centre of our work together known as person-centred. I want to understand experiences from your point of view. It emphasises our ability to make choices and develop to our maximum potential by looking at people as a whole. This will support you in developing a stronger, healthy sense of self.I integrate CBT to develop insight into unhelpful thinking habits which can affect the way we think, feel, and behave. If any of these are changed, the others will be altered too. When unhelpful habits and patterns are broken, we can fulfill goals as we take control of our livesThe Psychodynamic approach provides an understanding of how past experiences and relationships influence our present thoughts, choices, feelings, and behaviours. It means we can explore the way the mind influences behaviour. This develops our awareness, reducing levels of distress which enables us to disentangle ourselves from unhelpful aspects of our past.
