Mr Ayo Oshowo’s basic surgical training was at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff while his higher surgical training was in London. He holds specialist registration with the GMC and sub-specialist interests in colorectal and laparoscopic surgery. He was also a Travel Fellow at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Ohio, USA, where he underwent further sub-specialty training in colorectal diseases in 2002. He obtained a Master of Surgery from the University of London by thesis in 2000 and has since maintained an active interest in research and teaching. He has published many papers and given international presentations and guest lectures. His NHS practice at the Whittington Hospital, include colonoscopy; colorectal diseases including cancer; laparoscopic surgery especially for hernias, gall bladder and bowel.
