Biography
Dr. Aryeh Berlin is a New Jersey licensed clinical psychologist (#35SI00626800) specializing in motor vehicle accident-related trauma, parenting, childhood emotional and behavioral issues, and school-related challenges. He is an expert in treating social anxiety, separation anxiety, school refusal, generalized worry, phobias, OCD, panic attacks, selective mutism, depression, ADHD, disruptive behavior problems, parent-child relational issues
and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Dr. Berlin earned a BA in Psychology University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He completed his masters and doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the Georgia School of Professional Psychology a program accredited by the American Psychological Association.
Prior to graduate school, Dr. Berlin volunteered in Israel at Retorno- a residential adolescent addiction treatment. Graduate training included cl community mental health centers and youth detention centers. He was also a case manager and lead therapist in the youth services department of the Ridgeview Institute, a prominent psychiatric hospital in Georgia.
Dr. Berlin completed his clinical internship training at South Shore Mental Health, a highly selective and competitive program accredited by the American Psychological Association. His training focus was on treatment-resistant childhood severe emotional and behavioral disorders. His post-doctorate training focused on motor vehicle accident-related trauma. Dr. Berlin is currently the director of counseling in a private school where he has worked for a decade and the director of Aspire Psychological, LLC a practice that focuses on Motor Vehicle Accident Trauma.
Dr. Berlin has published research on family-based wilderness therapy interventions and has lectured on parenting, trauma, and child development.
