Sunils clinical practice is surgery of the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. He undertook higher level training in these areas at an internationally renowned centre of excellence. He has been a Consultant Surgeon specialist for over 10 years. He medical degree is from Guys and St Thomas hospitals in London, and his specialist orthopaedic training took place at Oxford. Sunil holds an MSc from the University of Oxford and the European Diploma for Hand Surgery. Sunil was appointed as a Consultant in Essex in 2009 and was delighted when the opportunity to move and become a Consultant Surgeon in York arose in 2017. Sunil was nominated for a Pride award during his time in Essex and has been nominated for a STAR award in York. Both awards are for Outstanding patient care above and beyond the call of duty.Diseases, Medical Tests and TreatmentsI have an active interest in treating overuse injuries, sporting injuries, bone and tendon injuries, nerve compression leading to pins and needles, and arthritis. I also have a specialist interest in helping musicians who find that problems with their arms are stopping them from reaching their full playing potential.
