Mr Angelos Assiotis is a highly trained Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon specialising in all aspects of Upper Limb Surgery including the hand, wrist, shoulder and elbow. Mr Assiotis completed his primary medical qualification at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2007 before moving to London and completing his basic surgical training. He later entered the Trauma and Orthopaedics North West Thames higher training. During his training, he gained specialist expertise in upper limb pathology and surgery. He completed his training in 2018 and undertook two high-volume subspecialty fellowships at the Lister Hospital and the Bristol Royal Infirmary. He became an Orthopaedic Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2018. He was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in 2020 at the East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. He sees private patients at One Hatfield Hospital in Hatfield. Mr Assiotis sees patients with a broad range of upper limb conditions and injuries. He has clinical interests in the following areas: Tendinopathy, including tennis and golfers elbow Carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel syndromes Upper limb sports injuries Primary and revision joint replacement (arthroplasty) of the upper limb Arthroscopy and reconstructive surgery Alongside his clinical work, Mr Assiotis has published over 25 papers in peer-reviewed journals and is regularly invited on both regional and national courses as faculty. He also holds a Masters degree in Healthcare Studies and Clinical Drug Development from Queen Mary University of London.
