I started work whilst I was studying in sixth form in 2020, I worked for elite pubs as a waitress. This was a challenging time for me as we was experiencing covid 19. Once I Passed my first year and stayed on for my second year of sixth form and I joined paydens pharmacy’s. I started off as a counter assistant, slowing working towards fulfilling the role as a dispenser. Whilst I learnt about new medication and patient safety I was looking for my next challenge. In June 2023 I started at paydens dispensing hub, where I now manage two pharmacy’s dossette box’s. Being part of the nominated MDS team we have a lot of responsibilities, this works well with being a team leader. I like to take the role as a team leader and make sure everyone has a suited list of tasks for the day, which is more efficient, rotating and lifting the pressure of the work load for the team. My main role in my current workplace is to ensure patients are safe and have the correct up to date medication. We work closely with hospitals, care homes and community pharmacy’s. I enjoy working with charity’s and helping the local community too, In 2019 I raised money and cut off 18 inches of my hair to donate to the little princess trust.
