Lydia Strickhouser is an experienced pediatric nurse practitioner. She worked as a maternity nurse for four years before earning her graduate degree in nursing, as a primary care pediatric nurse practitioner from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. Lydia is part of the BayCare Medical Group and serves the Riverview, Florida community. She helps manage acute and chronic illnesses, performs annual health exams for school and sports physicals, and manages immunizations for children up to the age of 19. She has a passion for newborn care and for helping adolescents develop a sense of independence by aiding in the transition from the pediatric environment to adult health. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.
