It is such a privilege to care for children. I love their spirits and how they see the world. I try to have a positive influence on their health decisions and teach them to care for their bodies. Childhood is a magical time but also a critical one where we are helping shape the behaviors they will take with them to adulthood. Taking care of a child's health requires a team approach. I have the training and education to help guide and support parents, but I can't do it without their help. Parents are the experts on their child, and the knowledge they bring is as important as any medication I can provide. I know from having two children of my own that not everything works the same for each child. I make sure to work with parents on developing a care plan that is right for their entire family. It's important to me that parents are comfortable with whatever decision we make together. I am grateful that families allow me the privilege of keeping their children healthy.
