Dr. Sue Abbas is an experienced Child and Adolescent Consultant Psychiatrist. She has worked to treat the mental health difficulties of children and young people for over 10 years working at the North West Borough trust and working in the mental health services in general for over 20 years. In this time she has developed a number of pathways of care and was the lead for the treatment of attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD), eating disorders and psychosis/ bipolar disorder. Dr. Abbas completed her training in Psychiatry in Manchester and is also a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. She is diligent and keeps up to date with her training completing her medico-legal and expert witness, leadership and management training. She always refreshes her knowledge and skills as a clinician through private reading and attending courses and conferences. Dr. Abbas is currently a lead consultant in Warrington and outside of her clinical work, she is an educator, supervising and training medical students and core trainees. Dr. Abbas specializes in neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD, autism, Aspergers syndrome, obsessive-compulsive disorder ( OCD) and Tourettes syndrome. She also is an expert in the management of depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicide, phobias, and eating disorders.
