Mr Utsav Reddy is a Consultant Urological Surgeon dedicated to general urology with a subspecialist interest in benign prostatic disease and the diagnosis of prostate cancer. This includes the investigation and management of cancer of the urinary tract (prostate, bladder and testicle), female urinary symptoms (including urinary tract infections), and conditions of the penis and scrotum. For men with bothersome urinary symptoms, he provides tailored advice and arranges relevant investigations promptly, to help improve their quality of life as quickly as possible. Having experience with a large number of treatments, such as HoLEP, Aquablation and Urolift, enables effective counselling and ultimately the best outcomes. He also offers transperineal targeted fusion prostate biopsies and routinely uses multiparametric prostate MRI for investigation of suspected prostate cancer. In addition, he has access to newer investigations such as Stockholm 3, Proclarix and Prostatype. Meanwhile, he is passionate about minimally invasive approaches to both investigation and management of urological conditions. Mr Reddy focuses on working with patients to create a personalised management plan at his clinical practice. Consistently keeping up-to-date with new techniques and evidence-based developments in practice, he ensures that patients are offered excellent care, including regular monitoring of surgical outcomes. Recently, he innovated a novel prostate biopsy technique at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital to reduce the diagnosis time, and therefore treatment time, for men with prostate cancer. Mr Reddy qualified from Imperial College London in 2008, excelling through urology specialist training in London and the South East obtaining several awards throughout this period. This involved working in centres with international reputations in benign and cancerous prostatic disease, and also general urological conditions. He also spent two of these years at Frimley Park Hospital, learning novel techniques for the treatment of bladder outflow obstruction in men with bothersome urinary symptoms. Having been awarded a distinction following his Postgraduate Certificate in Healthcare Leadership and completing an MBA, again with distinction, at the University of East Anglia, he is now the Chief Medical Information Officer at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, looking at how digital solutions can help improve patient outcomes and satisfaction. He is married to Sophie and has 3 young boys who keep them busy. He has completed his Private Pilots Licence and looking to use this further afield, all whilst renovating their clay lump house.
