David Manson-Bahr, Consultant Urologist, is highly specialised in the treatment of urolgical cancers. He is one of the highest volume kidney surgeons in the country, performing over 100 kidney operations a year for cancer and benign kidney conditions. He also is highly experienced in the management of testicular cancer. General urology also forms a large part of his clinical practice, which includes prostate cancer diagnostics, lower urinary tract symptoms in men, blood in urine, circumcision, scrotal swellings (hydrocele, epididymal cysts and testicular lumps) and urinary tract infections in both men and women. He qualified from Guy’s, Kings and St Thomas’ in 2008. He completed core surgical training in East Anglia. Following this, he undertook research in prostate cancer genetics at the University of East Anglia, for which he was awarded a MD (Doctor of Medicine). After he completed his specialist registrar training in London, he undertook a fellowship in complex renal and retroperitoneal surgery for testis cancer at the Royal Marsden Hospital before being appointed as a consultant urologist at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital in 2020. He is the lead for the urology services at the James Paget University Hospital, and he also holds an honorary contract with the Royal Marsden Hospital in London enabling his patients to have direct access to one of the UKs leading cancer centres.
