Toyin Opesanmi, M.D.(known as Dr. O) founded Gennesaret Medical Center in February 2011 due to a desire to provide the personal care her patients need. She has practiced in Maryland for about 9 years providing comprehensive health care services in a private practice setting, HMO and a local community health center. She has served as the Chief of Adult Medicine, overseeing three internal medicine clinics, as well as providing clinical oversight for the HIV and addictions program. She enjoys serving underprivileged and underserved communities and works diligently to improve their health outcomes. Dr. Opesanmi is board certified in Family Practice, HIV Medicine, and Addictions Medicine. Dr. Opesanmi completed undergraduate studies at the University Of Illinois at Chicago and then attended the Medical College of Pennsylvania (now known as Drexel University) in Philadelphia. She fulfilled Family Practice residency requirements at the University of Texas Health Center at Tyler, Tyler, Texas. She is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), Maryland Association of Nigerian Physicians (MANP), and the Coalition of Baltimore HIV Providers (CBHIVP). Also a member of the American Academy of HIV Medicine (AAHIVM). She is a wife, mother of 2, and delights in serving God and others. She is caring, dedicated, compassionate, empathetic, and uses her skills and talents to serve people, focusing on providing patients with personalized primary care services.
