Senior Occupational Therapist working in the new Reablement Service at the Warneford Hospital. We are a bolt-on service to the AMHT that offer an intensive, short term occupational therapy-led program to people whose engagement in everyday life has been disrupted by mental ill health. We combine weekly group work with individual one-to-one sessions focusing on individual goals. I’m a trustee for Restore, a mental health charity who support people in taking control over their mental health, by teaching them the skills needed to live a meaningful life-how ever this may look for them. As a retired OHFT governor for the public constituency of Oxford, I am most passionate about improving the delivery of healthcare services within disadvantaged areas of Oxford. I believe in equal opportunities to social inclusion, participation in meaningful occupations and optimal access to NHS care across the lifespan. Having grown-up in the highlands of Scotland, my hobbies mostly encompass the great outdoors. I love climbing trees, exploring, cooking for friends, going to the gym, and listening to The Archers!
