Mr. Karanjit Mangat is a highly regarded Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic surgeon affiliated with the South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust. With a special focus on pathologies of the shoulder, elbow, hand, and wrist, Mr. Mangat offers expert diagnosis and treatment in these areas. Born and raised in Coventry, Mr. Mangat completed his medical degree at the University of Birmingham. His early interest in orthopaedic surgery led him to pursue a BSc in Anatomy at University College London. Mr. Mangat then joined the prestigious Birmingham Orthopaedic Training Programme, followed by specialised upper limb fellowships at the renowned Pulvertaft Centre for hand and wrist surgery and the Liverpool Upper Limb Unit for shoulder and elbow surgery. During these fellowships, he worked closely with Professor Peter Brownson, the former President of the British Elbow and Shoulder Society, honing his skills in advanced surgical techniques for upper limb disorders. Mr. Mangat is passionate about medical education and actively contributes to clinical training. He holds a PGCE in medical education from the University of Birmingham and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). He provides formal teaching in upper limb surgery to trainee orthopaedic surgeons from across the UK and is involved in assessing and appraising doctors at various stages of their careers. Mr. Mangat is highly regarded for his excellent communication skills and patient-centred approach. He believes in taking the time to listen to his patients needs and concerns.
